Hurricane Ike and You

Greetings from Dallas… well the suburbs.

I am doing really good, and as far as I know, everything around me is doing equally as well.

Ike made some random bend to the East which spared those of us in the D/FW area, which I am extremely grateful for.

The hurricane in itself was never quite my worry1 but due to the location of my house2 I was really paranoid about possible flooding.

It was definitely an interesting experience. You could tell something was going on somewhere.. the wind was constantly blowing and the sky looked like impending doom was waiting to smack me upside my head. But, in the end we came out of it unscathed.

Thank you all so much for your amazing emails (directly and from the comment form), tweets of concern and phone calls (some of which I missed becase I had my phone in my purse, and well you know sometimes the bottom of a purse can be worse the than the Bermuda Triangle.)

I have always thought that those who frequented my blog were a group of outstanding people, but after yesterday, outstanding doesn’t even come close to describing the awesomeness that you all are.

Thank you.
