This is Del’s Lemonade. Some idiot thought it was smart to open up a store selling this particular item within a rock’s throw of where I work.
If you’re looking for soft, frozen all-natural lemonade that isn’t a “lemon,” Del’s Lemonade won’t sour you.
I was actually OK with this, since I did not know about this little piece of heaven until my lovely DH decided to buy one. And now, it has become ritual that whenever we are near the area we have to stop and get one. So that’s 5 out of 7 days. Sometimes it’s 6 days. And if we happen to be running errands, it could be 7 days.
The stuff is so good, that I decided I should upgrade my cup size to JUMBO.

The cup was huge.
And way too much.
But I can see myself going back for more sometime this week.

And this… is why I’m fat.

I think I’ve had this before, and I agree – they are YUMMY
there are at least two places selling “italian ice” nearby, and I occasionally get a small(!) cup on the way back from the supposed-to-be-healthy neighbourhood walk, teehehee! Hey, it’s better than a pint of Ben&Jerry’s Dublin Mudslide, right???
*lynne*s last blog post..throwaway – Part 3
Mmmm…sounds like a GREAT way to cool down!!!
Can you walk off the extra calories???
I’m the same way with mocha shakes. LOVE THEM. However, the dairy in them makes me ill afterwards. I don’t even care. I’ll take it just to have a sip.
LOL
i just finished having a cookie for breakfast. that’s why i’m fat. lol
i have not see a Dels around here, but I haven’t been looking for one. If I do see one, I’m going to stop in for a taste. txs.
LOL Is there as much sugar in it as lemon? Because I never thought that lemon was that fattening. Looks delicious!
That looks really good right now. It’s going to be 90 something today and I could use one of those, maybe I should stay away from the sounds of it though, they seem to be addicting.
@ lynne – It’s so sinfully good, and sweet. I don’t even want to know how many calories I am intaking.
@ Candy – After I get done, I am so full all I want to do is take a nap.
@ Jenny – Mmmmm, mocha shakes. Now that sounds really good.
@ Natural – LOL. A cookie for breakfast? That sounds like my kind of diet.
@ fragile – I taste a lot of sugar. So I am going to guess there is more sugar than lemon. Which is why I am fat. lol
@ Holly – It’s perfect for hot days because as it melts, it just turns into Lemonade. I don’t know what they do to it, but as it melts, it does not get watered down.
that’s Italian ice [cream] I think!
SOOOO good! I had a lemon kind when I was in Germany, and I found it in Ottawa a few years ago.. thank God there isn’t one around here or I’d be in trouble!
mmmm
oooooooooooooo good stuff. there’s no del’s in nyc. but, they had the audacity to throw up a Dunkin Donuts right across the street from where i LIVE. now i’m not all into coffee, donuts, or ice cream. my addiction came in the form of Lemonade Coolata. i was just coming off of my withdrawal of Lemonade Coolata when I was in Maryland with friends. i come home and find out that infernal Dunkin Donuts is what they were building all this time lol
I would love one- it’s still hot here in Wisconsin and with the humidity it’s nasty out… I like Autumn best, but I would drink one of those on the coldest day in Wisconsin in the middle of blizzard. Most people here are fat because they like frozen custard and they don’t stop eating it once the temperature drops.
LOL @ the jumbo upgrade… you didn’t did you?
Looks delicious!

WHAT? Fattening lemonade? That does it.
Luckily, that doesn’t really appeal to me.
Unfortunately, cupcakes do.

@ Lisa – I think it is very much like Italian ice cream.. So very bad for me.
@ Anthony – Oh lord I would be the size of a house if DD was right across the street from me. My saving grace here is that both DD and Krispy Kreme are not on any road I take on a regular basis.
@ Michelle – Oh how I miss Wisconsin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We used to eat out so much there. It was ridiculous.
@ Shae – I did. I know I shouldn’t have… but I couldn’t fight it. And now my husband is talking about getting another one after work!!
@ Renee – Good point. I will try to not think too much about it tonight as I am sucking it down later.
@ George – It’s better than good.
@ JD – OMG, I had the best damn cupcakes the other day from Wal-Mart of all places. They weren’t the norm with all that buttercreme topping, but actual chocolate icing. I almost died. Thank heaven there was only one set of them or I would be in the hospital from a sugar/chocolate overdose.
That looks so good, I would be in the same boat as you! Lemonade goes really good with soft, cheese pretzels………. You know if you wanted to add on about 15 million calories like I love to

I’ve never heard of this little taste of heaven, but I’m salivating just at the thought of it! I’ll be better off if it never comes to my area!! thanks for the warning.

Oh my GOSH that looks so yummilicious! And so close to work! No fair I’d say!
@ Brittany – Oooh, cheese pretzels. I need to try some of those.
@ Yolander – I just discovered that they sell the mix online. That’s not going to be very good for my hips. lol
@ Jocelyn – Starbucks has the best coffee cake too. Mmmm.
@ meleah – Starbucks does have some sinfully awful good stuff. Thankfully most of them are far away from any road I take on a regular basis.
@ Dori & Karen – It is!!!
@ chat – Apparently this place has been here for a while and I had no idea. There are no big visible signs or anything. They must succeeding on word of mouth or something.
@ Jean – Then you most certainly would love this.
@ haley – I have watched my husband wince more than once from eating it way too fast.
@ Monica – LOL. It isn’t fair to my health or weight either.
Ooohhh lookit all the fancy new blog stuff!!
