By the time most of you read this, I will be sitting in the salon getting my hair braided into thousands of itty bitty micro braids.
I decided it was something I had to do because:
- The weather in Texas sucks for anyone who has hair and isn’t paying someone a thousand dollars an hour to get it done.
- If I had continued to struggle with trying to get it to look decent while battling all the humidity and wind I would have shaved myself bald.
- They are low maintenance…
- … And I actually look really good with them.
- Plus my mom hates them and I will be seeing her in July.
I don’t know how long the entire process will take because I have never had them done by this particular beautician, but I am hoping it will be quick and not very painful. Hoping is the keyword. There’s just something about having someone pulling on your scalp for 4-5 hours that just makes you need a couple of shots of tequila. Liquor really isn’t a good friend of mine, so any chance to avoid needing alcoholic therapy would be a very good thing.
A very very good thing.
