Somewhere in the last few days, well, ever since my vacation, I think I might have misplaced my brain. If you find it, please mail it to me ASAP. Thank you.
As most American’s know, today is Tax Day.
And I work at a Post Office.
What was I thinking when I made plans to do things yesterday and today? I actually had a nice ToDo list going, which is now pointless. My vacation updates once again are on hold because I don’t have the time to upload the pictures.
Yesterday was a total nightmare… WHY DO PEOPLE WAIT UNTIL THE VERY LAST SECOND TO FILE THEIR TAXES????????? I seriously wouldn’t care if I didn’t have to be part of the hellish process, but I am now, so please do that shit earlier next year. K? Thx.
And it’s amazing to me how many people are like “Yeaaaah, just send it regular I guess.” Um, hello people, this is your taxes, not a letter to grandma which won’t cost you much if it gets lost in the mail.
Anyway, I just wanted to update y’all on why I haven’t posted (cause you know that’s not like me at all) or dropped any Ecards. I’m pulling crazy duty at work today - which I expect to be 100 times worse than yesterday’s Zoolike atmosphere. Tomorrow I finally have a day off which I will use to do absolutely nothing.
Sorry to anyone who bought an ad and did not get their EC’s worth. I suck, I know.

I saw one of my cousin’s the other day. It was the 11th or something. I asked him if he’d filed his taxes. His exact response was “Uh, I haven’t had the time. We have until the 14th, right?”

Oh…I sent mine regular. Oops. But I sent it out on Friday. I’d already filed though…it was just my check. Like any other bill. I hate taxes. I’d probably hate them even more if I had to work at the PO. LOL

I don’t understand waiting until the last minute either. As soon as we get our w2’s we are getting ours done. I want my money and I don’t want to wait for it. We don’t mail ours in as we have ours done for us.

Uhh.. yeah. I only sent mine last night!!! And we sent them regular, too!!! *Gasp*
I should know better than that…lol.. my mom worked for the P.O. so I know it sucks and is a CRAZY time of year for you guys.
But I would like to say that usually I send important things Priority with Delivery Confirmation (best…thing…EVER!). I know this doesn’t make up for my time wasting, but I hope it helps a little.

Aaargh! Why did I take my butt into the Post Office today in an attempt to mail a package… The damn line was out the door!!! I just drove right out the parking lot and still don’t know how I forgot it was Tax Day.

Why is tax day all over the world on a different day? In Ireland, it’s in October and people still take forever to get them finished! Even accountants!! I don’t get it either, because it’s not that difficult to do them! Anyway, glad you’ll get a day off tomorrow… hopefully we’ll see that Meme sometime soon? hehehehhe And I dunno… you could do 16 if you like. You could also tie the Meme into your 100th post if you like. I’d be ok with that. Not sure about how Beeker feels about it though since she tagged you too.

We mailed out our taxes on the 11th this year because we did not owe money. If we owe, we wait until the last possible moment to send the check. I always feel like we should show up at the post office with a bottle of wine or hard liquor on tax day. I hope you get to enjoy the rest of your week!

rest is good, i need some. i don’t know why people wait until the last minute to file their taxes..it’s not like the date changes. i file mine in feb. 2 weeks after i got my papers. i need my interest free loan back.
