Last night, after a very busy and exhausting day out, I curled up in bed and went to sleep. It had been a chilly night here in Texas, so I opened up a window to let the cool breeze freeze me out. I love cold weather when I can snuggle up under a pile of blankets.
Anyway, as I was laying in bed, I got this overwhelming urge to pee which I ignored because I was so comfortable and warm. I shrugged it off and went back to sleep. I swear, I take laziness to the extreme sometimes.
A few hours later, I got hit with the same urge… which I ignored… again.
At about 5 am, I was having this wonderful dream where I was yelling at someone to get out the bathroom because I needed to go. When I finally got into the bathroom, I was so relieved and elated.
And then I woke up and realized that I was in bed, and not in the bathroom at all. I quickly checked under the covers; for what I don’t know since it was pitch dark. I felt around the bed, and it all seemed dry.
I jumped up out of bed and raced to the bathroom before a real emergency happened. As I sat down it dawned on me that all was not as dry as I originally thought. Ewwww.
When I finished, I took a nice hot shower before heading back to bed. I did a double check there, and everything was as dry as I had previously thought. Amazingly enough I was able to go back to sleep pretty quickly.
I tell you what though, the next time I get the slightest urge to go to the bathroom, I’m not going to hesitate a second. Not even for the warmth and comfort of a good nights sleep.

Shame shame!
I dream of going to the toilet too, but the urge never stops.
In the dream, I will pee and pee, and still wanna pee.
Then I will wake up eventually and go and pee!

lol I dream that I go to the bathroom but I don’t feel relief until I wake up and go. But I have a different story that happened when I was a young girl.

@ Jillian - LOL! I will consider myself to be very lucky then.
@ Deimos - It was a shame… nothing like that had ever happened, not even as a child.
@ trench - There’s no such thing as TMI on this blog! I share everything. lol.
@ Carol - That’s what I used to do. I could ignore it until I finally got up in the morning. I guess that’s no longer the case.
I think this must be a woman thing! I’ve had many times where I’ve been in similar situations. As soon as I get comfortable I have to pee. Thanks for sharing a very real-life post.

I often ignore the fact I have to pee because I’m too comfy in bed, fortunately I’ve never had anything like that happen! I sure hope I don’t either! LOL don’t think I’d be willing to share as you have even if it did LOL.
That’s hilarious!

lol. Dang. I’ve gone to bed having to pee, but always end up waking up in the middle of the night having to go REALLY bad and end up going then. Never had the dream, but you’ve convinced me not to wait anymore when I have the urge to go!
Yikes!?!?! Glad it was a dream!

I think this happens to everyone, but at least you’re not ashamed to admit it! One time I did have the toilet dream, but was able to wake up in time - but only to find that someone else in my house had the same idea at 3 a.m. I did quite a bit of a dance.

Haha! The pee dream!! I know how you feel about not wanting to get out of the bed once you get warm and comfy (I’m the exact same way). I had a pee dream last year, I woke up just in time before I did any real damage lol!

@ Kevin - Definitely don’t ignore it! I know I won’t ever again.
@ Grace - Sadly, it was very much real.
@ Tip Diva - Yeah. I figure if I ever poo’d my pants, I’d keep that bit to myself. lol
@ Mimi - I think my old age is catching up to me because I have always made it on time. Hell, I could sleep the night through with no problems. Not anymore.
@ fragile heart - NO! I don’t know how that happened. Lucky I guess. I do know that had the bed been wet I would have cried for days. lol

Reading this I kept saying, “I hope she made”, because I’ve been there!
When I was pregnant with my oldest, I had to use the bathroom so much, I mastered the art of crawling on my hands and knees to the bathroom, handling my business and back to bed with my eyes closed the whole time, and of course I always got the urge just as I had gotten comfortable.

ROFL OMG! I can’t believe you shared that!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA I hate waking up and getting out of bed to go potty. So I feel your pain.
Though it’s never gotten that bad. I did squeeze out a little pee when I sneezed once. Hubby was SO horrified. LOL
