Mister Telephone Man.

Here’s a question. And I want everyone to answer, whether you email me or comment or call me, I want to know what you think.

You and your significant other are together for a year, you live together, share everything… You are invited to go out of town for the weekend, lets say to a wedding, and you accept. You leave your partner at home since he/she has to work. As you are flying there, you realize your cell phone is dying, and you forgot the charger. You call as you are getting off the plane to check in and let your partner know about your dying battery. Would you call again within the next three days?

It’s a little tricky, because your phone has no charge… so what would you do? Answer honestly, there are no wrong answers!

I would call! Someone at the “wedding” has to have a cellphone… or the hotel. There’s no reason to not hear from your loved one for a whole weekend.

Yes, I would definitely call. If I am at a wedding with friends I could use their cell phones to call probably, but if not, I would likely be at a hotel so I could call from there, or from a pay phone. If I am staying at a friends house, I could probably use their house phone too. It just seems respectful to your partner to let them know what’s going on so they don’t worry or anything.

    *shrug*

I’d call again. If you’re staying in a place, it would be nice to check in via phone or email so your significant other is alright. Then again, it also depends on the type of relationship that you have. For me at least, I would expect some sort of communication and I would make sure that I would communicate as well.

Hell, you can even go into a wireless store and ask if you can stand there and charge your phone for a bit!

Yes, I would call again. I’d use someone elses phone real quick or just send an email.

I’d buy a new charger. If I forgot it for the weekend that means I should have a second one in my bag anyway.

    Cromely.
    …who often misses the point.

Yes I would call again. I would send out a pigeon if I had to. I would at least “check in” and let them know I’m okay and darnit, if they love me, they should want to know how I’m doing over a 3 day period.

    :)

I guess I would call… but only because I didn’t want to be interrogated once I returned home. :-D

And it’s not really a fair question for me, as I not only don’t have a significant “other”, nor do I enjoy weddings enough to actually attend them. Then again, maybe I’ll enjoy weddings more, now that I have no significant “other” to be bothered with…? Hmmmmm.

I absolutely would call.. not only are there landlines *everywhere*.. practically everyone carries a cell phone… plus, computers can be pretty easy to come by too, so a few emails would be likely too.

Well I must be an oolldddd M.F. because if I did not know how to use anything but a cell phone or e mail, then O would feel like a dumb ass. Of course I would call, even if it meant “gasp” yes, I know, a PAYPHONE.
