Happy New Year!!

Well, it’s 2008, and I had decided to start the year off by re-uploading my website and getting back to the things I love like photography and blogging. Wouldn’t you know that on the morning of the 30th I had a bit of a sore throat. I was struggling with a cold on and off for weeks so I figured it was just some lingering part of that. On the 31st, it felt even worse. Yawning or swallowing caused me so much pain. I was popping Luden’s like a drug addict. That night, I was absolutely out of commission. I was dizzy and nauseas. I was weak and unable to focus on anything. I’d wake up for maybe 5 minutes at most and pass out again. It was horrendous.
It got to the point where my throat actually closed up on me, so I couldn’t breathe through my mouth. I couldn’t swallow. I freaked out and had a panic attack. After I got past that, I was having hot flashes and vomiting over and over. It seemed that nothing I did or took helped so I ended up in the ER.
What happened in the hospital I don’t quite remember. I was pretty much out of it. I do remember I got an IV because I was dehydrated. I remember throwing up. I remember a male nurse who called me sister.
In the end, I was diagnosed with a pretty severe case of Strep Throat. I’m home now, recovering. I’m on vicodin for pain and some anti-nausea stuffs, as well as anti-biotic’s. And I have 5 days off of works per doctor orders.
Today I am actually starting to feel normal. Well, I feel better than I had been. I blow my nose 100 times a day, and my poor nose is practically raw… I have no appetite…. food tastes absolutely disgusting… and soda is repulsive. I’ll take all that though, over what I was dealing with before.
Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! This is the year I turn 35 and I’m so excited!
